What's Septorhinoplasty?
Septorhinoplasty is a type of rhinoplasty surgery and is a surgical procedure performed to correct or shape the wings of the nose. This procedure aims to correct deformities in the wings of the nose, narrow or widen the wings of the nose, correct asymmetry, or change the shape and size of the nostrils.
How Surgery Performed?
During a septorhinoplasty procedure, usually under general anesthesia, the surgeon accesses the tissue and cartilage structures in the wings of the nose. While shaping the wings of the nose, excess tissue may be removed, cartilage structures may be supported or reshaped. In this way, the desired shape, symmetry and projection of the wings of the nose are achieved.
A septorhinoplasty procedure is usually performed in conjunction with other components of rhinoplasty surgery. These may include correction of the nasal bones (rhinoplasty), shaping of the tip of the nose (tipplasty), and correction of the septum (septoplasty).

After Septorhinoplasty Surgery
The recovery process after surgery can vary from person to person, but it usually takes a few weeks. After the procedure, you may experience symptoms such as swelling, bruising, temporary nasal congestion, and numbness in the wings of your nose. It is important to follow specific instructions and follow your doctor's recommendations throughout the recovery process.
